The spinning "T" is two plays that can be run out of a tight "T". The spinning "T" is build on deception and hiding the ball to prevent the defense from being sure which player is running the ball. Fakes and timing make these plays work and it should make a nice addition to your tight "T" package. I can also see the additional of a bootleg to give the series a play action pass.
Spinning Dive - The two plays are designed to look the same regardless of who carries the ball. From the tight "T" formation, the QB will pitch to the playside halfback. The back side halfback runs a sweep look behind the playside HB and carries out a fake for at least 3 to 4 steps. The playside HB turns and runs through the center end hole hiding the ball as much as possible. The playside HB only turns his shoulders parallel to the line of scrimmage. He should keep his feet turned to the line as much as is comfortable. This will allow a quick hitting dive.
Spinner Sweep - This is the same play except the playside backs hands
the ball to the backside NB and he runs a sweep.
These two plays can be run to both sides and will force the defense to adjust to the offense. Good fakes and timing make this offense very hard to read.
